Kia ora Deeny,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Olive and I’m one of the new blog commentators in the Kaikohekohe cluster this summer! I’m working the Teaser Week and I’m super excited to see all your blog activities!
Congratulations on completing your first blog post! What a great start! Your similes were great to read! I love how creative you were with the subject matter of your similes! There was a lot of variation, which makes for an interesting read. I particularly liked the one where you described diamond atoms with the Dot in a sentence, it was very entertaining! Ka pai, I laughed a lot!
You and some other classmates have been challenged by me to make up your own simile, where you describe yourself as an animal! I’ll have a go! Olive is as loud as a barking seal! Hahah, my friends say when I get excited I chat a lot! I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Thank you for your great blog post and have fun completing the rest of the activities.
Feel free to check out my blog and get to know me a little better!

Kia ora Deeny,
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas! I hope you are having a great holiday so far :)
My name is Tayla and I am the Cluster Manager for the Summer Learning Journey in Kaikohekohe. I just wanted to pop in and say that it’s not too late to start the programme! You can find the activities here: https://sites.google.com/site/summerlearningjourney/weekly-activities
You can do any of the activities, so take a look at some of the options. I’m sure there will be something that you’ll find interesting to learn about.
I hope I get to read some of your work!
Ngā mihi,
Tayla
I Denny my name is Mikaire and I am a year 7 at Paihia School. I really enjoyed your poem. I how you added a nice saying at the end of the poem. I made a poem once out of a a few words in a book it was hard for me because I wasn’t good at rhyming. Is this the first poem that you have made?
